  • To gain a position that will enable me to gain experience working in a creative field, putting my artistic skills to use.

Awards Received
  • I helped to create a sculpture for the Coca-Cola Company for a competition in conjunction with the Atlanta Olympics. We were one of three finalists nation wide.
  • Recieved Direct Entry into the Classical Animation program at Sheridan College.
Work Experience
  • September 2003 - present: Mark Decoux. Creating mascot designs and designing and maintaining a website.
  • June 2002-present: Administrator/tech-support Nightscrawlers.com. I set up and maintain a large discussion forum and chat. Duties include modifying and 'hacking' the board to add new features, moderating the posts, website design, and performing various administrative duties
  • September 2001: OA Productions/K.A. Talent Management Inc. Assistant animator on a 15 second clip of a pixie shown at the end of the music video 'Not Gonna Score' for the band 'Untamed'
  • April 2002: Freelance Illustrator (pro-bono) for NixonVision - duties, created 9 full colour character drawings to be used in X-Assault as in-game graphics and for use as virtual trading cards. I created drawings of Nightcrawler, Archangel, Storm, Colossus, Iceman, Phoenix, Shadowcat, Mystique and Beast. Photoshop used extensively.
  • Sept 2001 - Freelance Animator - Untamed; "You're Not Gonna Score" Video Animation of "pixie girl" at the end of the video. I was the Assistant Animator to the lead Philip Alexy. Responsible for inbetweening, as well as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects work.
  • July 2001 - October 2001: Staff Artist for Valkyrie Quarterly. duties - create drawings to illustrate articles in this quarterly publication.
  • February 2000 - Current: Staff Artist at Simutronics Corporation. crate drawings, mainly character portraits, for the online RP game DragonRealms.
  • December 1999: created a Cheetah character to be used for NASA's SIRTF-SPOT project. SPOT will be used by people at home on their own PC's to control the new infrared observatory (sirtf.caltech.edu) and take pictures of the universe. my Cheetah character is integrated into this program.
  • November 1999 - current: founded my own company, Bronze Pig Productions. I create freelance character designs, for several companies including Caltech/NASA, Enchanted Ink, and mainly IVBC (Internet Video Broadcasting Corporation) and I produce several products of my own design to sell at my Online Store including t-shirts, calendars, prints, mugs and more.
  • March 1998 - April 2000: working at Street Characters creating and designing mascots. I have produced designs for such companies as; The Philadelphia Eagles, The Denver Bronos, Columbus Bluejackets, Orlando Miracle, Yale University, The San Jose Sharks, Topeka Knights, Philladelphia Zoo, Winnipeg Police Department, and Canada Customs. are just a few among many I have created mascots for the city of Eastlake Ohio, Abeline Christian University, The Milwaukee Admirals, Canada Olympic Park (Calgary), St. Bonaventure University, Sefton Advertising, Yorkton Terriers, and the Birmingham Bulls
Interests
  • I am working towards a career in animation, literary illustration, or comics. I have done a lot of independent research and have experience with the techniques involved, and am creationg my own animated short tentitavely titled "The Sneeze" and have enrolled in the Classical Animation program at Sheridan College
  • I have been on an educational trip to California in 1997 called the Silicon Valley Educational Tour, where I had the opportunity to tour Hanna Barbera studios, where I met Bill Hanna, Disney Animation Studios, Kinetix software development, attended the World Animation Celebration, and spoke with Philip Alexy, an animator at Industrial Light and Magic
Computer Experience
  • I am experienced in several graphics programs - including, Photoshop v3.0-7.0, Premiere 5.1, Hash's Animation Master 2000, Adobe AfterEffects 3, Adobe Image Ready 2.0, Meta Creations Painter, Adobe Illustrator v7+8, Flash 4, AutoCAD r13, 3D Studio, and Ray Dream Studio
  • I am also skilled in creating Web Pages, and have a good knowledge of HTML and CSS and some knowledge of Java Script and PHP. I have installed and maintain the forum, chat and galleries at nightscrawlers.com, and created a website for Alberta Girl Guides as well as the ongoing project of my own homepage and gallery at bronzepig.ca
  • I am familiar with both Mac and PC operating systems and mac and pc versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and Painter
