A companion piece to my Bronze Mermaid Nouveau, and more metals will follow... As with the Bronze mermaid, appearances are deceptive. It doesn't look too terribly detailed, but there are 12 layers involved (mostly to create the transparent fins effect, but also to tint shadows and highlights, the scales are on a separate layer from the rest of the line art, etc.), and digital inking like that is INCREDIBLY time consuming. So, basically, don't expect the next one too soon, especially since I have begun work on a couple webcomics.
