A bronze colored mermaid with some Art Nouveau influences... and more stylized in terms of the figure/face than many of my recent drawings. I suspect people don't like my more stylized art, though I usually incorporate some form of stylization anyway, it's typically limited to the hair. Which is why I like drawing mermaids so much, you can really go nuts with the hair. But *I* like highly stylized (but not so much that it enters into abstract) drawings so this is for me.

This was originally intended for the mermaid themed calendar I'm putting together, I'm very close to having enough images now, but then I realized I made it so tall and skinny it will look really odd on the calendar page. whoops. Makes a pretty spiffy poster though.

This picture took WAY longer to create than you are probably guessing... like, 30 hours, somewhere around there. Crazy.
